20+ Cozy English Cottage Kitchens Straight Out of a Fairytale

The kitchen has always been a place where it nurtures a whole family. So much of our joy and happiness begins there. I personally like having an English cottage kitchen of my own. Not because I love living in the countryside, just because of its coziness. And do you know what? You don’t need to stay in an outskirt to have that kind of kitchen; you can actually make yourself one at home, right in the middle of the city.

Here’s u/ohhomelygirl’s kitchen, and the difference after the transformation is incredible. It used to be just a plain, simple kitchen with boring colors. But after a big change, it is barely recognizable.

The ordinary colors were replaced by lively and colorful ones, with matcha green and soft blue. The cabinets stayed in the same place, but they were covered with a new appearance. She even went as far as changing the floor tiles and refreshing the walls with new wallpaper. And I just love the way that she puts the colors together to make it look more cottagey.

I’d say this kitchen in The Nadder Valley, England, is straight out of Ghibli’s movies. The stone wall with this breathtaking view just makes me want to live there forever. Even u/japaneseanemones says that it’s still in process, yet it already has its own cottage beauty. The flowers, the lamp, every detail brings such a sense of peace.

Here’s another lovely corner of u/japaneseanemone’s kitchen. I think I really need to have a full tour to look around. The black cabinets caught me off guard; I first thought they seemed odd, but they apparently blend well with the other elements. And even the light tells a story.

You are seeing a full look at u/japaneseanemones’s finished kitchen. It is such a stunning fusion of modern and cottage style in the same place. I thought these two would clash, but it turned out far more impressive than I expected. She did a very great job, ngl.

To be honest, I can hardly tell it’s the same kitchen of u/Senior-Extent-6955. He changed the faux-brick plastic wallpaper to a softer, creamy one and completely reworked most of the space. By moving the washing machine out, he restored the kitchen to its function. The space, therefore, not only looks bigger but also fresh and clean. I really admire the way he used the same color palette for the new cupboards and the sink. That’s truly genius.

If you’re a fan of cottagey and floral things, this one will make you like it. It will prove that you can create a cottage kitchen in your city home. All it really takes is changing your kitchen wallpaper. Apparently, the space will feel much more cottagey. You can also consider painting those cabinets to make your space look softer and greener.

This stunning kitchen by u/that_MANBEARPIG feels straight out of a holiday movie on the Disney Channel. It’s such a good combination of cutting-edge and bungalow-style furniture. I can say that this is a kind of fancy kitchen when you want to have a little holiday, but don’t feel like flying in a private jet.

I’d say this kitchen is a new definition of coziness. The jars, the vase, and all the little details may look a bit messy at first glance, but somehow still tidy and organized in a good way. The blue wall and the stool stand out as highlights for the whole place. It’s the kind of picture that you can easily find somewhere on Pinterest, but this one is in Ireland. If you’re into a mix of cottage charm and modernness, I bet this one will make you fall in love with it. It’s a simple yet stunning cooking nook. A cottage kitchen doesn’t always have to mean flowers and vintage utensils. A modern oven doesn’t make your place less vintage. And I’d say the brick wall stands out as a true highlight here.

It’s quite hard to say which kitchen feels more vintage and cottagey. But for me, this tiny kitchen in the Kawarthas radiates pure coziness. That old-fashioned fridge is incredible; it looks straight out of the 40s, and surprisingly, it’s still working. Everything is just so moderate. And this adorable cooking place belongs to u/cackalacka.

Here’s a little cozy kitchen nook that I would like to live in. It may not be a big place, but the skylight overhead makes it feel brighter and more open. The turquoise ceramic tiles on the backsplash and vintage tea cups on the shelf are definitely key elements.

Honestly, I’ve always been a fan of every shade of blue, so this beautiful turquoise kitchen is definitely my favourite. It surely evokes a vibe reminiscent of the Mediterranean. I love everything here, from the ceiling to the cupboards, even down to the blue-patterned bowl on the table. And u/Whatabouttheteachers truly surprised me by using those plates as wall décor.

This cottage kitchen is controversial because of its floor tiles. Some say they look tangled, while others feel they fit well with the entire kitchen. But putting the tiles aside, I think the wooden countertop is a great match for the style. Even the blue-gray cabinets seem odd at first, but they end up balancing the overall look. If you’re a fan of fusion design, this one just wins you over..

I first thought this one was in a random cabin in the woods. But it turns out to be just a corner at a rental place, and you can see how cozy it is. This gorgeous shot was captured by u/defionary in Norfolk, England. I love how the owner went all-in with wood for all the things here, which makes it super cozy and inviting. And not gonna lie, but the tiny oven is insane (in the best way).

This Cottage Kitchen In England

The color palette that u/mtlgrems chose for her kitchen was amazing. In England, where the weather is always gloomy, it brings a fresh and warm feeling to the space. Every element pairs so well together, from the creamy cabinets to the blue appliances. Just look at those doggies, they’re having their time in the peaceful sunlight on the kitchen floor.

If you’re looking for a cottage core kitchen for yourself while living in a bustling city, you might be inspired by this one. Firstly, set a main color for the whole place with classic creamy cabinets and a wooden countertop. Then, add a touch of greenery to make it look more lived in. Having a small window can also transform the space with more natural light.

Some people say this kitchen space looks like the Weasleys’ house from Harry Potter, and I’d have to agree. u/daisycharlotte used the exposed wooden beams on the ceiling and wrapped the lights around them, creating a cozy, magical vibe like the Weasleys’. Honestly, I’d love to stay here during the holiday season.

Cozy Kitchen
byu/angstyimpala inCozyPlaces

U/angstyimpala found a kitchen on Tumblr that definitely has a unique characteristic. It’s a good mix between vintage core and cottage style in the same place. Her kitchen gives me nostalgia, and she reminds me a lot of my grandma’s. I’m especially obsessed with the table setup and the way she hangs the plants upside down on the ceiling.

This is a new transformed cottage kitchen by u/ohhomelygirl. To be honest, I fell in love with the new flower-patterned wallpaper, which instantly turns the whole kitchen space into a fairytale garden.

I love the way she layered those seasoning jars on the shelf with other utensils. It’s really giving off a modern witchcraft in a house. The kitchen can actually put a spell on you.

And the last one on the list will be this cottage’s emerald kitchen, which might be one of the most stunning kitchens I’ve ever seen. I’m amazed by how the cabinets, walls, and backsplash all tie together in matching tones. The greens feel wonderfully calming to the eyes, yet they still keep the space warm and super inviting.
